Anyone give any advice on places to stay at Amistad?
Are the any hotels left out near the lake?

No motels near the lake. Call Tommy Shields = 830-734-3248.
He has 2 bed room cabins fully furninished and Trailers at River Street Lodge. This is near the Ranger Dealership. About 2 miles from the ramps.

isnt the motel across the road from diablo east open now. champions inn or something like that?

Beside Tommy there is a renovated Hotel next door to Two Guys Marine. Champions Inn (830-308-3805). You will need to check vacancy since there are hundreds on NG/State Police in the area occupying alot of the hotels beside their camps. American campgrounds has some small cottages to rent also.
