Several folks do. Easier to find them on FB however. But there is 2-3 stores around Tawakoni that sell them and there are at lease a couple of individuals that also sell. Knowing what area you are in will help narrow down options.

Damn!!!! If you were a couple three hours further west I'd go net you up a $100 worth in about 10-15 minutes tomorrow morning.

I don't know of anyone on CC that sells, but the stores up on Twok aren't that far from you.

I heard you can get all you need with a cast net at White Rock Lake but I don't know if it's in a creek there or what.

Uncooperative weather really got them scattered, huh? At least that's what I've been running into, as well as all seem to be this year's hatch.

I think you're right Z. They seem to be all spread out and with the wind the way it is, it is hard to get over them in open, deep water and throw on 'em. You would think with the surface temps up around 60 degrees they would be thicker up shallow but they don't seem to have gotten that memo. As we complain about how windy it has been and will be for at least the next few days, we will be doing the same when it stops. But, when it does, maybe the bait will be easier to catch.
This weather is exposing a weakness in my game. That is the ability to pattern the bait when there is no real pattern. Those dang things are out there somewhere. Just need to find 'em...

The reason they are spread out so much guys is because the lake is mixed and the same Temp everywhere and has stayed that way for the most part for 3 months straight.. To get them to group up you need the water to layer so they all head for the most comfortable temps. This last cold front started the process but now the 80ยฐ days destroyed that. When the mid depths is the same temps as the shallows itโs like the spring transition when the lake turns over and mixes. They are spread out everywhere. Head for structure that is different from everything else around it and Gizzards will usually be there.

Yep, exactly right. If we don't get some real winter for at least a few weeks, they'll remain scattered.

After living in London most of my life, I will take the 75F temps and shorts and t shirts in December every single day. Sorry for those of you hoping for cold temps.

After living in London most of my life, I will take the 75F temps and shorts and t shirts in December every single day. Sorry for those of you hoping for cold temps. Totally destroys trophy season Bob. I like 80ยฐ temperatures too but I love catching 50 lbrs even more and without the cold we donโt get to feel the joy of hugging those monsters all winter. I look forward to 80s in the spring but winter is for cold weather and trophy fishing. I will trade 75ยฐ days for cold and 50-60lb catfish any day! . [/quote]
