Samsonworld you just went off the deep end. They sucked you in with that ad. Been getting the same kind of carp for every new car I have bought in the last 20 yrs and many more phone calls. Sad they can do that, but you know the car lobby is very powerful and would stop it if they could. Everyone is trying to make a buck off you.

You need to go back and read. The dealers name was on it and I contacted them. Best case, they sold my info to some third rate company. Worst case, they have some form of business relationship. Either way, never got a similar letter after buying Ford, Chevy or FCA. And this is at same time the dealer is harassing me about maintenance directly through email, texts and phone calls.

That's not from Toyota. That's junk mail getting you to buy an extended warranty.

OEMs do not cancel warranty claims for failure to get service done at dealership - UNLESS they can prove that your failure to complete the maintenance is what caused the failure. Honestly, that almost never happens.

That note is a scare tactic/scam to get you to buy an extended warranty. Throw it in the trash and be polite and courteous with your dealer. If you've already ticked them off for blaming them for a scam junk mail thing they didn't send, then take it to another dealer and start fresh and be polite.

I get them for my Chevy Silverado and the Ram I no longer own literally all the time. I get them for my wife's Highlander which we no longer own. Dealers sell contact info to make money. Honestly any dealer could look up your name and address online - it's not like that's secret information. If you own your home, it's listed on the county appraisal district website.

Can't make this up! They made the mistake of contacting me tonight! Timing couldn't have been better. I asked if they were denying warranty work even though I've maintained the vehicle. He wouldn't answer me!!!! Told him don't contact me again. [Linked Image]

If you're wondering, its mine and the dealerships info on the other side. I bought no warranty.

Why would your local Texas car dealer put EST times on the card?

Like I pointed out, that same phone number is the title of a thread on robo calls started in 2017.

I have gotten as many as 3 of these cards on the same day about 2 months after buying my last Toyota last year. The cards covered my Toyota and other cars I never owned.

It says right there on the bottom of the card......"NOT affiliated with Dealer or Manufacturer". Like others have stated, it's spam mail, relax.

Whoever sent it wanted me to think it came from the dealer as it had the dealer's name on the other siode of the card. Bought from Toyota. Financed through Toyota. Where did they get the dealer's name? My understanding is third parties can purchase registration information, including who the lienholder is....Toyota Financial. My understanding is also that it does not specify the dealership.

Maybe the dealership gets a kick back from the third party, the same way that they do when they get third party finance.

When I bought my 2017 Toyota and financed it through Toyota I got a letter from them telling me that they were going to share (sell) some of the information from my application with third parties. I got PO and called them, but it was too late because they had already released it. I've been getting [censored] about the warranty being expired and needing renewal just about every day since. I think all financial places do this.

Just request to be removed from their contact list. That is what I did.
