Crazy story I heard was that he saw a car swerve to miss him and thought they had actually hit his truck and he says he tried to follow them but lost them. I hear the motorcycle rider that hit him is in critical condition. This is the story I heard around town.

I read the prayer and his statement from the City Council meeting. I thought the prayer sounded a little odd. His explanation of the circumstances seems legit, but to not know you have a Harley under your truck? Scratchin my head.

Just watched a video. One of the witnesses states the motorcycle was underneath the truck and when the Mayor took off he dragged the motorcycle about 10 yards or 30 feet.
Clearly, he would have known something was dragging.
