Can someone tell me how to turn on water temp reading on a Lowrance Elites FS with 3-1 Active Imaging transducer? I have 2 of these units, I can read water temp on one but not the other. Wondering if only one will show temp since they are connected via network cable.

Just installed an Elite 12 ti2 at the console and an Elite FS 9 at the bow. The installer was supposed to have networked them with the new version of the nmea connector. I downloaded waypoints onto the console ti2 12 but they are not reading on the bow. I assumed they would automatically read each other if they were connected correctly. Since the ti2 does NOT have ethernet I had to buy the nmea "kit" to connect them. I went to youtube to see how to network the two but couldn't find anything regarding those two. Plenty of them for connecting FS's or Elite ti2's, but not those two different units. Suggestions?

Five, you will have to save the wypts onto a card and import them onto the new graph. Then turn on nmea wypt sharing on each graph. If you keep both graphs turned on while fishing, they will add/delete wypts; but they will not do it if one of the graphs is turned off. That feature only works with Ethernet.
Now I am assuming that the Ti2 and FS will work with each other, they should being close in age.

Do not think Ti2 has ethernet.

Do not think Ti2 has ethernet. It does not, only nmea.

Got a question about my Hook Triple Shot. The depth is set on Auto and works great the first time I turn it on but after fishing a spot then leaving I always put it on the maps. When I get to new spot and go to sonar, it goes to 61 feet and won't read depth. I have to shut the unit off and turn it back on to get it to work again. Just irritating having to do this. Thanks for any help. I was having a similar problem with my Hook 2. After calling their help line and emailing them, I put all their information together and did a YouTube search. I wound up doing a HARD RESET on my unit after I had downloaded the current software update. It did fix my problem. Now, my depth reading stays on all the time. Before, the screen would freeze up and the depth would stop reading and displaying on the screen. Turning it off and back on would work sometime, but after doing a HARD RESET, it works fine. JR

Scroll to and click on "HDS LIVE: The Ultimate Fishing System with Jeremiah Clark" to watch a two part video to get you started with HDS Live. You probably need to watch each part at least twice as there is a lot to absorb. There are numerous other videos there that will help you use your Live unit. You should read through the manual a couple of times while sitting in front of the unit to learn where the settings are in the menu tables. DO NOT get hung up on sensitivity settings as the unit can do a lot without changing any of that, and if you do it wrong, you could make it worse instead of better. Learn basics before you start tweaking too much.

I have installed two Elite 9 FS units, one at the console, the other at the bow. Yesterday while preparing for our next trip I turned the power switch on, the console unit came right up, the bow unit did not. I checked power at the unit, had 12 volts. Removed the bow unit and connected power from the console unit , the bow unit did not come on. I then moved the console unit to the bow location, hooked up power and the console unit came on, so power connectors are good at both locations.
With all that said, am I missing something while checking the bow unit out?
I plan on contacting Lowrance, Monday morning to see what my next step is. I purchased this unit June 30, 2021 and have used it three times.
Thank you for any help,
Kenny

Your tests leave little to be blamed other than a dead unit. In the electronics industry as a whole this is called "infantile failure," meaning some component in the unit was essentially defective when the unit was built and that said component failed "immediately" in the scale of expected product lifespan. You might try the "hard reset power up procedure" detailed in the manual. That's about all that is left for you to try.

Just tried the soft and hard reset as you suggested, no response from the unit.
Thank you for your response,
Kenny.

Help please.
I have a new carbon 7, didn't come with a transducer, that I want to run on the bow. I don't which transducer to use on the trolling motor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Also, have a new carbon 9 for the console. I heard that I need a thru hull transducer as the 3 in 1 will not get bottom contact once on plane. Please advise.
Thx Rob.
