I obviously have not done any research. I didnt know there was an issue with leaving on while running from ones spot to the next.

They say if you leave trans on out of the water in hot Summers for longer periods of time like hr or so trans will overheat. It will come on the head unit as such when this occurs.

Thanks. im assuming by another person on here that putting it in "sleep" mode will prevent that?

Not sleep mode, that just puts the graph into standby. For the lvs transducer you have to “stop sonar”.
