Brother would take grandboys down there and they would catch fish with corn. them they started selling it. Along time ago

Same here. Parents would drop us off in the morning and pick us up in the evening. Time frame mid 70's Also used to be an indoor / outdoor fishing barge in the back of Silverlake cove on Grapevine. Parents would drop 4-5 of us off in the evening and pick us up next day. Fished the Grapevine barge many times while growing up in Hurst. The big flood in 79 was the end of the barge.
Past performance is the best predictor of future behavior...
