Cox chose the Elites? Thats a blow for BPT. Makes me think others would jump if they could get in immediately. I wonder if the BPT intentionally schedules on top of Opens next year so anglers cant requalify.

The Anglers don’t leave because BPT is job security. There is no way to get relegated, they don’t really let new hungrier anglers in to stress them, and originally they were supposed to get a Revenue share and no entry fees so I’m sure that carrot is still be dangled as a future goal.

Iaconelli is the telling one. An OG investor of MLF with a lot of side businesses focused on the fans. He needs visibility in order for his other businesses to thrive. He is less motivated by the style of fishing.
You have to believe that if BPT provided a better platform to promote himself he would’ve stayed with something he helped create.

More than likely BPT will force a new contract on them where they have to sign before the Opens finish so the Anglers will either have to risk everything or fall back into line and sign the deal. It’s probably too tough trying to intentionally schedule on top of 2 tours at the same time.

Must not be that hard, BASS does a pretty good job scheduling on top of MLF and BPT.

Actually BASS schedule was out before MLF put out either schedule. Heck MLF scheduled an event on the classic and that comes put a full year before any other dates

Can you prove BASS does not have a spy at MLF so they can schedule on top. The truth is both circuits are already planning 2023 dates. They only have fifty or so tournaments to schedule between the end of January - October.

Looks like a bunch of these guys cut are going to be fishing MLF Circuit next year...

Per there rules I think it should be Dakota Ebare, and Corey Neece, highest next two 2021 AOY finishes or AOY average between '20 and '21 whichever is highest. Jim Tutt and Dylan Hays are next 2 in line if anyone else leaves.

Maybe not all got cut. Some can’t afford it, people get burned out, family stuff becomes priority, sponsors pull out and you can’t afford entry fees, etc.. you don’t really know

Some like Rick Morris say they quit but he knew he was getting cut before he quit, that the case with all of them, these guys just about nailed the cut months ago

A: He has money and influence

Elite series is not better than BPT

He took a medical leave to repair a bad back.
