your first real job ( paid by check and had taxes withheld ) was $1.25 per hour.
MO Dang I thought my 1st job was bad at $1.50 an hour. JR

MO Did you work for a grocery store? Back in 1972, that was what I got paid at Safeway as a sacker.

Minimum wage was like $3.35 when I started working Minimum wage was $2.00 back then, but the ice cream store I worked at had an exemption for some reason. I did do some damage to the inventory every time I worked though! Still Love ice cream. JR
