Gonna be our Christmas present to ourselves . . . maybe.

Are these things worth it? Do they do a reliable job. I have some hard surface floors with transition thresholds. Will they cross over these things.

We just want them to do in between vacuuming during the week. Generally we aggressively clean one day on the weekends.

Also, they're multiple models.

What about that?

OT wisdom? Anyone?

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

They do great for the time in between when you really clean.

We have the basic model and I'm not impressed. I think the effectiveness is really dependent on how your rooms are laid out and how open they are. It can get stuck pretty easily. The small size of the debris chamber or whatever it's called is also limiting. We don't necessarily regret getting ours, but if we could do it all over again we would not get one.

FYI, we have all hardwood/tile floors. Maybe it does better on carpet?

We have hard floors - brick, tile, or stained concrete depending on where you are in the house. They do a decent job of cutting down the pet hair & dust. The only big drawback for us is that the bin is really small and fills up quickly. If you don't have pets, this probably wouldn't be such a problem.

Overall, they're worthwhile for us.

We have an illegal immigrant maid. She’s less expensive than a robot and speaks a little English.

We like ours and run it 3 days a week. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats and it really helps with hair and lint. Gift from our son otherwise probably wouldnt have it. If grandkids are here and leave stuff laying around it can get get hung up and need help.

I was going to ask, do you have pets?

They are maintainers. You still have to clean. They do not pickup dog poop(Only seen the picture of one smearing it)

We have three of them.

Ours does a good job. Floors in the area where we use it are all tile. We have one small dog that does not shed very much so that's not an issue. Ours will run for about an hour before heading back to the base to recharge, and the bin is always full. Many times it only takes that one hour, but it might need a few minutes more every now and then.

Only problem for us is the rather thick area rug in the family room. Roomba has a hard time climbing up on it but it usually finds a way.

If I had to buy another one I'd get the type that has a self-cleaning base to clean that bin.

Got my wife one for Christmas last year, she loves it. She is a floor clean weirdo and I’ve never and will never push a vacuum. Good Christmas for all.

Eufy is a good alternate brand. Equally effective at half the price. The self emptying bins would be nice but those are pricy. Dog poop or puke gets pretty ugly.

They are good for maintenance, but not exactly deep cleaning. Pretty loud if you are in the room with it.

Overall I like it. The room is always cleaner than when it started. But don’t throw away your regular vacuum cleaner.

Can't go buy reviews these days, seems like they are all fake.
