It's about that time! Time to get the powerbait, dust off the superdupers and grab those ultralight rods! The texas trout season is about to begin! Last year we caught some really nice fish at Bethany Parks, Frisco Commons and Prosper so the girls are very excited. If you have never fished for trout before they are very easy to catch if you know the right tips and techniques to catch them. You suggested a size 8 salmon egg hook. What kind of Power Baits and how many to a hook? Kinda new at this and appreciate your informative utubes.

I order the power bait eggs and put one to a hook. You need the bait to float to stay out of the weeds! Glad I could help with the videos, catching trout is a blast! Let me know if you have any more questions!

2 words: Fire Balls

My absolute go 2 for non stop action are the PowerBait Power Eggs. The pink or chartreuse usually kill it. But after a week of them seeing the same baits I switch it up to my secret weapon lol. I have had tons of success with 5'5"-6' light to medium rods, but I keep my reels ultralight. If you can find the S.O.S. fishing line in your area then that's some of the best. 4-6 lb test. I would advise against any hi-vis line. Trout are not easily fooled. My kids and I will be at the Frisco and Prosper Kids Contests. We try to go every year. Plus I'll be hitting up the Denton and Corinth stocking locations regularly. Hit me up if anybody wants to meet up for some early morning trout fishing this season.

I normally fish Allen, Frisco, McKinney and Prosper with my girls! Let us know if you plan to go. We are not early risers so usually fish the afternoon bite!
