The fact that they started the year and can't financially finish it pretty much guarantees that this thing will be a bust unless someone with deep pockets comes in to rescue it. The numbers really are not that complicated. The fact that they could not figure them out to at least finish the year and break even is crazy. If I was one of the bigger names that was thinking about fishing this league next year, I would run as fast to the exit as my legs would take me.

They took in around $3,100,000 entry fees and paid out around $2,568,000, leaving about $532,000 is someone's pocket. $532k sounds like a tidy profit until you factor in expenses: live streaming and camera men are expensive! Besides Luke Dunkin gotta eat too and oh yeah, Fat Cat really gotta eat! And insurance, which is never cheap.

And all of those expenses should have been known prior to the season start and accounted for. If they weren't, it shows the lack of planning by NPFL

the whole thing was a shotgun wedding from the get go, I was shocked they threw it together so quickly to be honest and things from the outside looked to be running as well as they were

I doubt any federal taxes were paid, if they only had that 532k to run the business, they probably lost money. It’s naive to think the 532 went into someone’s pocket like the guy posted above.

the whole thing was a shotgun wedding from the get go, I was shocked they threw it together so quickly to be honest and things from the outside looked to be running as well as they were They literally took a year from announcing the trail until the first tournament to get everything planned out. That doesn't sound like it was just thrown together
