This boat I'm looking at is like brand new except the trailer has been in an accident. The rubrail on the boat has some damage but the actual boat doesn't appear to have been repaired at all. At the site on the rubrail there is some spider cracks on the top cap that look to be gelcoat only. The dealer has agreed to repair the trailer but doesn't know anything about accident. What are some tell tale signs on the boat to look for? Your thoughts on a purchase like this? Picture attached. Thank you guys.

Looks like a used boat. Probably got into a courtesy dock or a tree. It happens. Any serious damage would be chunks of gel coat missing. Repairing gel coat always is visible. You cannot ever match it perfectly. That doesn’t look like a repair/cover up. Looks like honest use.
It is a used boat. The boat was I believe on the trailer at time it was hit. Thank you for the input.
