I'm in the market for a shallow water anchoring system. Please give me your experience with your anchoring system. The ins and outs. I've heard the customer service from Power Pole is 2nd to none. Just trying to decide between the two.

Owned Power Poles on my own boat, they were great. No issue at all.

New boat has Raptors and because I run Birds, I wanted the total boat connectivity. So far, they work exactly like the Power Poles, BUT they do adjust. They do continually adjust when wind blows you around. They lift and push further into the earth.

At times it seemed my Power Poles would get stuck in the mud, but not these. They are very responsive.

In short, you can't go wrong. I've had incredible customer service with Minn Kota and never needed Power Poles customer service, but I hear it is fabulous.

Thank you for that information. I have Birds as well along with an Ultrex trolling motor.

There is NO SUCH THING as better customer service than Power Pole. 100%.

If I was running Birds though, I'd go Minn Kota.

I have never ran power poles so I can not answer for them, I do however have dual raptors installed on my 20’ express SW, and not had a problem with them or their functional capabilities,
Have multiple remotes paired so I have a remote mounted to center console as well as one my lanyard for when I’m fishing on front deck. They also have a phone app that you can adjust the power and sensitivity for what ever bottom you are fishing or as other has stated they have active bottom which detects boat movement and will activate as need to keep boat locked down,
Couldn’t be happier with them so far

I wouldn’t get too caught up in the linking of the anchors to the graph. It wouldn’t be my “decision maker”. I have PowerPole Blades, Lowrance Carbons, and an Ultrex. I have the poles linked to the carbons and almost NEVER use the graphs to deploy and stow. I had Helix graphs and never bothered with the contour following part. So I changed over the Lowrance. All this stuff linking isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Stompin on a button on the floor, or pressing a button next to the shifter is just WAY TOO EASY, vs dragging an icon on a touch screen and then aiming for the little GUI to activate port, starboard, or both. It’s really just a PITA. as for the Ultrex, everything it needs to be GREAT is available via a toe tap on a button.

PowerPole for the win with their superior customer service. MinnKota looks good though, and I’ve never been unsatisfied with one of their products or their service.

I’d give PP a slight edge on being the better anchor for me.

Everyone has their strong points.

We have Power Pole Blades on our 2020 Skeeter FXR21 and love them, no issues at all besides water sometimes damaging the remote but after it dried out no issues….. Never have had to call customer service for anything but have heard only great things about them….. Yes you can link to Helix’s but why would you do that when you have foot tabs and two remotes?

I looked at them both the other day. I have had PP for years and love them. As said they write the book on customer service. That said the Raptors were impressive to me for two reasons. 1) the piston is much larger than PP I would say double the size. 2) the bushings were also two/three times the size of PP. I’ve had to replace bushing on every set of PP I’ve owned. It’s just normal wear and tear but by the looks of them the Raptor will hold up longer.

Been running Power Poles since 2009 and LOVE them! Initially, I only ran one for 2 years and recommend if you can only afford one, get one and it will change the way your fish for the positive. Power Pole makes the highest end quality product with AMAZING customer service. What few issues I've had over the years they've remedied quickly and hasn't caused me any missed time on the water. There new "Charge" battery charger is hands down the finest charger in Bass boats. BTW: I do have a 8' PowerPole Blade Certificate for sale $1500. Serious inquiries please text me - Phone number is below.

I second what steez mentioned. I’ve never had an issue with my blades after 3 years. I have the foot pedals up front and the docking switch right next to my shifter. I have my poles linked to my phone and graphs but I’ve never used my graph to operate my poles. I have used my phone to speed up or slow down pole the pole extension and retraction setting. I tighten all my bolts around every 3 month and I’ve never had an issue with my bushings. I’d buy power poles again!
