I've been doing a lot of drop shot fishing with some rather small baits, but surprisingly catching some decent, if not, large sized bass. It got me to thinking I wonder what's the largest sized bass caught while finesse fishing. After giving it a thought I figured I'd ask it here, of course. I caught two bass this weekend that both weighed in the 4's. Both were caught on 3" grubs. Caught some more on a 5" stick worm, but they were all 2's and under.
What's the biggest bass you've caught while fishing a finesse technique?

Caught several in the 3-4 pound range on the Ned and 2 just under 5. 4.92 if I recall was the biggest. Lost one close to 7 on a drag that was set way too tight.

9.48 on a drop shot during the first hour of Mega Bass a couple of years ago only to put it on the board and find it was 1/4" short!!!

I've caught two that were 6 and some change on a flick shake in the past. I rarely ever throw light stuff anymore though....probably should.

12.5lbs on a Crig set up with 10lb test --- fish was so fat it had a hard time putting up a good fight , almost 25" around the girth during spawn 9.4 lbs on a Dshot with 8lb test along weed edges ---luckily she ran for deep water and moved away from the shoreline weeds

Caught a few over 7#'s this past winter on a drop shot with a 3" stick bait. Spinning rod with 8# line, makes for some excitement.

Several 8’s and 9’s drop shot fishin. Using 5” straight tail Arron’s Magic Roboworms. Several times on Athens and Joe Pool. A handful of 6’s and some 7’s on Fairfield using the same thing. Big fish won’t pass an easy meal.

I'll post of pic of 11.5 caught on a DS later. Last big fish I caught out of Austin. Was night fishing and decided half way through the night and to rig up one on baitcaster and 14# test. Took small worm off and rigged DS. Worked a slope from 4ft to 12ft. Robo worm. My very first DS fish was a 4.5er on first drop also on Austin.

8.88 on the chart but probably bigger since she was heading in to spawn on a drop shot.

Finesse Squarebill - my PB that was actually weighed - almost a new boat. Weighed 9.04.
That same bait in a different color tricked a 4.5 foot longnose gar to give me the fight of my life on Saturday. He bit through the line as I was trying to find a way to get him next to the boat after 3-4 long runs.
My Senko fishing style isn't exactly "finesse," but I did pull a 6-something off a dock on a wacky rig. Had several in the 4-5 lb range as well.

True finesse, probably only about 4 lbs or so drop shotting. Sort-of-finesse, 6-7 lbs with a 3/16 oz shakey head and 4 inch worm (but on 20 lb line so doesn't really count as much)
