Went to the usual spot (sunkin island) yesterday and found the fish were still a little finicky. Started at 7:30ish and ended at 11:00. I was fishing shallow in 8 to 10 ft. right on the edge of deeper water. Seeing fish on the finder, was easier than catching them. They wanted the Mepps really slow. Just fast enough to make the blade spin. Fish were caught casting to the deeper water and bringing the Mepps back to the boat horizontally along the bottom. Most were caught when the lure was in the shallow water part of the retrieve. Ended up catching about 25 and keeping 20. The keepers were really nice big fish. All caught on a #4. Did not try any other size. I think I was not the only one having trouble getting fish to bite. I saw a couple of guide boats, and another boat that were moving quite often. They might have been just moving with the fish, I do not know. Did not see them really catching a lot of fish though.

Rough slog on Saturday. Went to same area shortly after you were there and can tell you that you didn't leave them biting
