Hop this is the exact same battery as our 8304 , Deka , NAPA are East Penn

Need more reserve minutes than that one these days

Yup a 24 1000mca is great for strictly cranking and smaller engine but as soon as you add pumps, electronics, accessories etc it'll be less than ideal to crank at the end of the day. Really need a 29/31 series 1100+ mca if you're adding lots of accessories. More ideal setup is a 50-60ah lithium just for accessories. They weight about 14-17lbs

mine cranks a 95 200 xri/efi, runs 3 garmin 9" and livescope. never had a problem cranking the 200.

run 3 grp 27 deka for the garmin force.

he wants to crank a 150 with one graph, pretty sure the 24 is his best bang for the buck.

You are doing great with that battery Hop, it for sure is the best value for cranking amps.

There is a group 27 version of it if you have room the 8307 is high amp and high minute

Ya if that's all he has he'll be fine. I thought he had a significant load like most guys are running. I know on a 250 pro xs with 3-4 graphs and pumps running all day, a 24 1000 won't cut it. That's why guys are going to X2 and Odyssey. The Odyssey can pulse over 2000 mca. But they both $400+

Just bought a G27 Interstate at Costco for $81.88. It replaced another Interstate that was still charging to 12.43v, but it was almost 6 years old. I’ve got 2 others that will reach their 4th year in February and are charging to 13.3v. I would love to be running lithium, but I can’t justify the cost difference for a hobby. I did look at Optima, but that’s more than I paid for 4 batteries.

Agreed. This battery is more than you need for your application, but overkill is a good thing with batteries if you have the space/weight available. I think my current Duracell is turning 4 years old this winter and no signs of weakness yet.

I guess you would love it, since you’re the owner of the company. roflmao

I had a cranking battery go bad on me at Rayburn back in Dec of 2015 and had to run into Jasper to find one and it was getting late. Wal Mart did not have the group 27 I wanted so I went Auto Zone and bought a group 27 Duralast Marine Cranking for around $100. That battery took me from around 250 hours to almost 600 hours on my motor. I replaced it earlier this year (Feb) because it was getting old. It ran livewells, pumps, electronics, lights and cranked for over 5 years and it was still working the day I removed it. It is now sitting on a trickle charger and it is still a good battery. I know that battery is the exception and not the rule, but I did purchase another Duralast when I replaced it. I am sold.
