We had our Club tournament yesterday on Bob Sandlin. Lots and lots of small keepers brought in. 5.77 was leading for big bass. Then this girl came to the party. Caught by Preston Smith on a top water she weighed in at 10.21! ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/5jcBcHZ/RHBC-Sandlin-1.jpg) One of our former members Damon Machost came by weigh in and said his friend Austin Tennan also had a giant they would like us to weigh on our scales. This one weighed 10.49! ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/z8FGVKM/Sandlin-Toad-LR.jpg) On a day when big bites were hard to come by, you just never know. Congrats to Preston and Austin!

That's back to back years the yearly big girl for RHBC came from Sandlin. Congrats to both anglers.

There are some large bass in Sandlin. I fished a working man's tournament one evening and had over 15 pounds. Thought for sure I was in the top 3. Ended up in 5th or 6th place. Competing against guys who have been fishing this pond since they could walk is also a losing battle.
