I fished lots of spots on the main body of Ray Roberts south of Wolf Island last Sunday. I am thinking about putting in at Buck Creek boat ramp Saturday morning. I am fishing for bass any advice for someone that is very new to this lake and looking to catch a few fish in this area. I would appreciate any tips. Just looking to have a enjoyable day, last weekend it was very nice out there except when my buddy decided to bury a crankbait in my shoulder in the morning. Fished the rest of the day with a treble hook hanging out of me. Thank you in advance for any tips!!!

Can't go wrong fishing the bridge and the rip rap by the launch, throwing crankbaits (not in the shoulder). Go south to Pierce Branch and throw up shallow and maybe even throw a c-rig on the points. Be very careful where you choose to run.

You can catch some fish dragging a Carolina rig down the railroad tracks. Chartreuse bubble fry's work good. .
