Is it finally hear? Looking at the forecast for next week it looks like those cool fall rains may finally be on the way. Wind is forecast to be up this weekend too. I'm betting the bite will be better than last weekend. I don't know about y'all but I've had enough of bluebird skies and dead flat calm water.

Finally got my lower unit but the Boat is still sitting waiting on mechanic to get back from the coast to slap it on so weโre off the water until next week. Looks like next weekend we finally get those nights in the 50s which should get the fish fired up a little better. Waiting on new rods, multTbars, MulTbar bait table mount, and new taped net to arrive. Will be ready for battle when that cooler weather rolls through Tim!

With all the rain we had two days ago, G Dam is spilling at 64k per second. The surface temp has cooled into the mid to low 70's. I can't wait for Saturday.
Boats are like Strippers. They work until you quit throwing $100 bills at them.

Man, when Tuesday came and went and I didn't hear anything I thought you didn't get her back yet. I hope you get out there next weekend and the water is cool and the bite is on fire!

Iโve been at Ray Bob fishing all this week, clear blue skies and flat calm, every single day and the H2O still in the mid 70โs. I am sure the fish with whiskers must be out sunbathing, coz they sure as eggs is eggs donโt want my stinky baits. ![[Linked Image]](https://photos.smugmug.com/RV-Trips/RV-Trip-12-Lake-Ray-Roberts-Fall-Break/i-kK3bbgV/0/519f77b3/L/FA55DDA4-D64A-4AA3-B7BB-AE2BA30170C8-L.jpg) Itโs forecast to be 94F tomorrow, and I thought the summer heat was gone, but nope. The lakes are crazy low already, so praying for rain and weather to wear a jacket on the boat. The struggle is reel - lol!

Definitely NOT here yet! Fish are spread out all over the place on all the lakes I been on. Temp is still almost 80 degrees on all of mine. I'm ready for some sub 70 degree water. I can find the bait, and I can find the fish. Just can't find any fish that are feeding. And I don't mind a little wind, but that [censored] today was ridiculous. Gusting to nearly 30 mph.

Weโre chomping at the bit to get back out there. My buddies that fished Saturday were all catching Toads on Lewisville, Lavon, Worth, and Texoma. These big fish pics are driving me nuts but our boat โshouldโ finally be ready Monday. Got 3 new Mad Katz rods and these things are gonna be some killer rods! Iโm Respooling all my reels today with fresh string and retying my rigs. Time to start dragging some stinger rigged big baits for Toads! MulTbars will be here Monday and itโs about to be on!!!

Man I am so ready to be dragging some big baits. Itโs been too long.
Chris those Mul-T-Bars are awesome but I thought you cleaned off all the rod holders off the back of your boat to make throwing the net easier? What made you decide to go with the bars?

I had MulTbar design me a new prototype Matt. These will have a pull pin I can easily rotate the bars out of the way while dropping my net or remove them completely with the pull pin if Iโm pulling Jaxon on a tube. . These new bars are the first of their kind and specifically designed for Azul and to my specifications.

Cleaned, lubed, re-spooled, re-tied all new leaders, and put all new hooks on 14 rods today. Took half the day and itโs a pain in the ace but got it done and I wonโt be worried if my line is going to break when I start hanging toads! Now I just need my War Machine back from mechanic and Iโm ready for battle! ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/10/full-99544-113969-7f9a9a26_31c8_4ec0_b2e4_c6b3b1344d91.jpeg)

You're ready for a Willie good time.
I battled the wind this Sunday morning on Lavon. From around 5:30am to 9am. Managed 8-10 eater size. No size. I stayed tied up to a tree.. used the bilge pump every 30 mins or so, kept taking waves over the bow.. go figure.
I gotta figure out a drift pattern and give it a shot.
