Anyone have experience with them?
I have one on the bottom of each wrist and occasionally they hurt like hell. Thinking of going the surgery route.

I had one on my left wrist about the size of golf ball. Finally had it surgically repaired. It returned in about three months. I went back to the surgeon and he wanted to refer me to hand surgery specialist. I opted to do nothing for a while. One day, while yanking on a board, my hand slipped off and the ganglion cyst crashed into a post. The cyst burst and never came back. That was about 10 years ago.

I remeber someone I knew had one and they hit it with the bottom of a clipboard- pretty hard actually. And I dont remember ifit was successful. Good luck if you opt for surgery!

Back in the old days, the treatment was to smash ‘em with a large bible.

My daughter had one on her wrist which developed after years of performing gymnastics. Had it drained a couple of times but it kept coming back about every 6 months. Finally had it surgically removed. Prior to the surgery the surgeon warned that the odds of it returning was greater than average. Sure enough, about a year later it popped back up. The same surgeon drained it and its been about 5 years and so far no reoccurrence.

It would be an epic post if a video post was made of you smashing it with a clipboard or hammer.

Back in the old days, the treatment was to smash ‘em with a large bible. I’ve also heard where people smash em with a big book called an Encyclopedia. The younger generation doesn’t know what that is. My son turned 30 5 days ago and the other day I mentioned an Encyclopedia and he asked “what’s that”? I said that your mom and I internet back in the day.

I have one on the bottom of each wrist and occasionally they hurt like hell. Thinking of going the surgery route. I had one on the top of my foot. After a year of it hurting my foot every time I put shoes on I had it surgically removed. Sure enough it came back. I went back to the Dr. and this time they poked a needle into the cyst. What came out was a clear jelly like fluid. It was so thick the Dr. poked about 10-15 more needle hole and just squeezed it out. It’s never came back, it’s been about 18 months since then. Good luck on what you decide and I hope it’s successful‼️

I had one come up on my left wrench. I tried working thru the pain for a year thinking it would get better but it didn't. I was a mechanic and I couldn't put any pressure on it. I had it surgically removed 30 years ago. I haven't had any more pain and it hasn't come back. Good luck with yours!
