Update. Skeeter Fowler
9/8 Wednesday
Day 18 in Memphis
Day 8 on Ventilator
Today was a good day! Again we celebrate these small improvements. It’s what I’ve been praying for! His dialysis treatment was a success. His oxygen support was lowered, and all other vitals remained stable. Again. I need to have patience. Austyn is such a blessing and reminds me and jumps for joy, leads me to Praises. He is such a blessing to be here with me, has been since day one.. his wife Tambra is a nurse so her guidance and advocating for Skeeter is priceless! As a bonus, we have their baby Breck who is just cute, cute, cute! Thank you to all who are supporting, gifting us to all be here in Memphis with Skeeter. Including Austyn’s work. It takes a Village! And Skeeter has the best!!

9/11 Update Skeeter Fowler
Day 21 in Memphis
Day 11 on ventilator
When they said this is a rollercoaster.. they mean it.. when they said this is a long journey.. they mean it.
We were doing so well yesterday. His PEEP was down to 14, lowest it had been ever. He was doing well. Then today’s report is that his PEEP went up… to 18!! And his b/p and heart rate were crazy.. he is showing infection. Just bad. Bad reports. So we were sad. Disappointed. Unsure. When was this downward trend gonna turn around??
I did a Zoom with him. (Again it’s only one sided..) but I love it. I get to see my husband! My oldest son and his wife joined us. It was nice to see them. We chatted, prayed. It was nice.
So today, September 11th..
we reflect. We remember. And I am thankful that Skeeter is still here. He’s still their Daddy, Poppy!, their son, his brother, an Uncle, a cousin, your Buddy, and my husband. Sometimes that is enough.
