We're all on our knees in the South house. Lord in heaven you are the great physician, we pray you heal Skeeter and give his family comfort. In Jesus name we pray.

A few years ago I won a trip on here fishing Lake Fork with some guy named Skeeter. My son and I went fishing with him all day. My son got a PB 6 lb'er. We caught a bunch of LMB then we caught about 50 big Sand Bass. Half way through the day I felt like I had known Skeeter for my whole life. Had a wonderful day. Skeeter gave up a day guiding to take me, a Veteran, fishing. I found out later that he has a big heart and will help anyone in need. I just fished with him for one day and he became a friend. I'm hoping and praying he pulls out of this. Skeeter you're in our prayers.

I fished my first FLW Toyota Series as a co-angler in February 2020 on Toledo. Day 2 I draw Skeeter Fowler. Had 18+lbs that day and ended up winning a boat. Skeeter treated me like gold. He made me feel like a team partner on his boat, not a co-angler. Will always have a debt of gratitude to Skeeter and my heart is broken that he is having to battle this horrible virus. My thoughts and prayers are with Skeeter and his family.

9/7 Update on Skeeter
Day 17 in Memphis
Day 7 on ventilator
Today there was no real progress.. a few set backs. A plan for treating his kidneys more aggressively.
So we are ready for that. Longer dialysis is scheduled tonight. His lungs still aren’t working either. But we are hopeful that once the kidneys get addressed, his lungs will be the next focus. They are the most critical.
Austyn has us hopeful that “after a set back, you have to hold steady for a bit, THEN you can move towards progress.”Good tip! So today we will rejoice in holding steady.
B-Rob chimed in and said -You know what we always say in football… Minor setback for a major comeback!

Will keep praying for Skeeter Fowler and his family. He is on my prayer list. The Lord Jesus Christ has control.

I remember seeing Mr Fowler get his replica mount this year at the Big Bass Splash on Rayburn. He had caught the fish last September when Sealy pushed the tournament back due to Covid. I believe he was in the same hourly weigh in I was at one time. Never talked to the man but he seems like a nice guy that loves this sport. Thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.
