How come truckers don't have their own Buc-ee's? Oh yeah, they're called Love's and they're disgusting. The real irony is thinking a brand modeled after clean restrooms would allow trucks into their yards.

They are set up to accommodate large numbers of vehicles outside, and large numbers of people inside. At any given time on a weekend there may be 100 cars at the pumps and in the lot. On a weekend it may be 4x that many. They simply do not have the acreage to handle trucks.

I understand your anger, but I also understand their business structure.

Any facility is going to be clean if you hire people to do nothing but take care of the restrooms. I've seen some QTs that were pretty disgusting. While I agree some truckers can be pigs, they don't have a monopoly on making a mess. I think the cleanliness of the restrooms are a reflection of the store and their staffing rather than the consumer. And ive seen some truck stops that have incredibly clean facilities.

I hold out between Buc-cee’s. It has damn near ended in disaster several times.

If a man cant be happy at buccees he just cant be happy. It's a wonderful place.

It's the perfect store for the guy who doesn't start his christmas shopping until christmas day.

Do you blame them, there are plenty of truck stops, most are questionable. They dont want the nonsense that goes on with "truck stops". I dont think it's the individual truck drivers that's the problem, it's the mess that inevitably follows. One of the things you will notice is there ain't a seat in the place, get your stuff and move along. I like that.

Cool info about bucees, the stores are paid off prior to opening. They do direct ship and invoicing with vendors. My rub sponsor has rubs there and a central procurement office makes the order, it is shipped to the store and invoice paid in 14 days. No warehouses, no storage, etc.

They could call them Trucees, with nasty showers, a chrome shop behind it, install cb radios, lot lizards, homeless people and bums sitting around, pot holes in the entrances, trash all over and a nasty Buffett.... nevermind they have 4 or 5 like that already.
