I remember going into my first buc-ees first thing I told my wife was when we get home I’m going to by some stock in the company because it’s a gold mine. That’s when I found out it was privately owned. Cheap gas clean restrooms and cheap ice is hard to beat. I have been patiently waiting for their IPO for about 20 years. Had lunch at cafe right off the runway of the Angleton airport yesterday and the waitress told us that Buc-ees execs have a jet there.

It's a great marketing plan for sure. WHen we were driving back from NY the other day we saw a sign in TN they were about to open a new one there. I think it will be just their 2nd store outside of Texas. I think there is one in Alabama. The one in Alabama was super busy. There was a line to get into the parking lot. It was ridiculous. Easily over 500 cars

The trick of Bucees is to stop across the street at the old c-store that looks run down. Cheaper gas and pee at the pump! In and out FAST!

It definitely can be a madhouse at certain times. The one below Luling on Interstate 10 is packed during summer vacation with to and fro traffic for the coast. My wife can wander around inside for hours so I sit in the car. Usually have stacks of deer corn and other hunting supplies out front- at least in Texas they do….

Best damn Buc-ees in the nation is in Giddings for years. Small and the perfect distance from the house in the mornings as we drive east to LA.

I like going to the gas stations right next to Buc-ee's because I know no one will be in there. I agree, some of them are just mad houses. I avoid at all cost.

The novelty has worn off for me, I'd rather avoid the crowds and stop somewhere else at this point.

Me and a buddy had the same Idea in the early 80s. We traveled all over the state, fishing, and back then most gas station restrooms were.........severely lacking. If you aren't old enough to remember them then you're lucky.
Only problem was, we barely had enough money to pay our bills.

My own private vendetta here, but I have never been in a buckees and won't go to one. As a truck driver it pisses me off they don't mind their gas and products being delivered on a truck, but clearly won't allow trucks on property. The irony of that is lost on most people.
So I continue to boycott in silence with my personal vendetta.
