LOL I still have two of the older Zillions also. I would take the Zillion over the Metanium any day. I have a Metanium and am not all that impressed with it, that's why I only have one of them.

I have no complaints with the function of the Daiwa reels I have owned. The Tatula SV is nice but my problem with them is parts availability. I waited for parts for 8 months for 2 Team Advantage reels and over a year for parts for a Megaforce with twitching bar. Now that they are rebuilt I am reluctant to use them. My Shimano reels have been great, only ones I have sent to them for repair were bought off of ebay at a very inexpensive price. They actually had the parts for the Scorpion and rebuilt it for almost nothing. The spinning reel was functional except for the anti reverse and upon disassembly they found it had been used in salt water and part of the inside housing had corroded beyond repairs....they offered me a brand new model for half price so I jumped on it. So parts and service are my only complaint against Daiwa.....

Been using Daiwa for years and years. The Tatula Elite platforms are my all time favorite to date. True workhorses and great performance. I just picked up one of these because I've heard nothing but good things. Mostly throw a Shimano reels. That thing can cast them, I'll say that.
