We headed a little further north to a different stretch of river. Water level was up some and the water was clear. The bite was tough and the day was hot, but we still managed to catch a few fish. It was simple fishing sitting in the shade tossing jigs











We also caught a few ditch pickles,




And a crappie and a pretty gar


Leo had a fish steal a fishing pole about a month ago. He set his rod down on the deck with the jig hanging over the side and a fish grabbed the jig and pulled the rod in. Saturday he kept getting hung up on an underwater branch and finally hooked it good and brought it up. His lost fishing rod was tangled in the branch.

As he was untangling his fishing pole from the branch a bass comes and hits his the dangling jig from the rod he had just found

HaHaHaaaaa..... That's funny he caught his lost rod..... Y'all got on some nice'uns......

Good catch you two...Most people would call that a stellar day !

A hot day fishing is better than a cold day working

Nice fish and story. I try to never complain about the heat, because I don’t like being cold and that is on the way.

Thank you Osbornfishing! I try not to complain toooooo much, because i dont like the cold. I use to love winter, till we moved to Wisconsin for a couple if years.
