James, if you were going to recommend a balsa or two what you say(small, medium, large, xxl)? Something neutral for all north tx lakes. What sizes/color if you were going to buy two? It's pretty wild when you look at their website, and it's basically open to anything your mind can imagine. lol $50 is a pretty steep purchase, but I am intrigued to try them. I do fish Rayburn mostly. Thanks! If you want a cheaper option check out Black Label Balsa cranks made by Cliff Pace. https://www.woodbaitcountry.com/

Good video, but you don't think 12lb is too light for cranking around cover? I have gone back and forth and prefer 15. Usually when there is docks, there is brush.....

It’s a trade off. 99% of the time 12lbs works. The occasional time it fails, there’s a good chance 15lbs test would also fail. The bait moves more naturally & dives quicker on 12. If I thought I’d get the same amount of bites I’d go 15, but I honestly don’t.

I fish squarebills with 12lb test, retie often, and have rarely if ever broken off fish, even in heavy cover or rocks. The lighter line may get you an extra 1/2ft deeper (which can be critical) and allows more lure action than say 15lb test.
