Out today on The Catfish Cadillac was Tommy Garrett and his awesome wife Judy. Our day started off in spot number one catching dinks. Well, off to spot #2 and we set up camp. Bite was a little off, but we caught some quality fish. Tommy decided to call it early because when the sun came out, it got hot in a hurry with not much breeze. The early morning was great outside. I really enjoyed having this couple out today. Tommy and I seem to have the same hobbies , fishing and hot rods. Thank you both so much for giving me a shot today! We caught them in 27 feet with none other than Stubby’s Cheesebait.

A couple of big ole fatties there Shannon. Theresa called this morning to wish us a happy anniversary and she’s already talking about next year on the Cadillac !

We can’t hardly fish past 10-10:30 either Shannon due to the heat. Plus the rental pontoons and jet skis come out at 10 and running that gauntlets of Jack wagons with my son is super dangerous and getting real old! I had 3 different rental pontoons pulling kids on tubes turn directly into my path while I was heading back in and they never even looked or saw me or waved. Just doing figure 8s right in the boat lane like nobody else is on the lake. I certainly don’t like regulations but I sure hope they get the boaters safety laws ironed out on this next session because the amount of inexperienced rental boaters has gotten completely out of hand on my lake and it would break my heart to run over some poor kid who’s dad is a complete numbskull.
