Our area lakes haven’t been very productive lately so wanted to head east this weekend. I have fished CC numerous times and have caught lots of fish each time (Dennis Christian was a big help with his scouting reports). The wife and I went with a guide to RC in July and didn’t have a good trip, weather was terrible that day with high winds and thunderstorms early. Not many fish caught.
Question is: Should I go to CC or RC this weekend to fish? I would like to fish RC on a good day as I know its a great white bass and hybrid lake and I like trying new lakes. I do have some knowledge of it after our trip this summer but have more experience on CC. I read DC’s report from CC this week and know its fishing good, any reports on RC?

If you want a newish lake, go to RC. But if want to catch fish, I can vouch for CC. Went out this afternoon for 3 hours and had a limit of quality fish either with the Mepps or trolling hell pet.

They say variety is the spice of life. I enjoy fishing other lakes too besides CC. But there is a risk you will not do as well in a lake you are not as familiar with. For me, the risk is worth it, and consider it a challenge to go to another lake and see if I can find and catch fish there.
