To add to Vogey's comments, I think the state fisheries department is going to do a survey this fall. A local guide circulated a petition and submitted to TPW to ban cast netting on Fayette. Claiming the cast netters are ruining the spawn and destroying the limited grass that grows out in up to 6 feet of water. Naid is what I think it is called. If the survey shows the bass population is on the decline, they might look into it further to see if cast netting is a problem. If the survey shows a healthy bass population, I do not think anything more will be done about it. I think essentially shutting the park down at 8 pm will and has discouraged bad and illegal behavior. But this is my opinion.
