How to you rig for earthworms? with and without bobbers?

I love the size 8 cricket hooks. I simply start at the head of the worm and poke it's head at the point of the hook. Slide the worm up the shank of the hook and leave about a half inch of the worm dangling over the tip of the hook. This works good with both float and non float methods. There are a bunch of you tube videos that demon straight this and other techniques for using worms on sunfish. You will also catch a wide variety of other fish using live worms. Best of luck and hope you post some of your fishing trips here in the Bluegill section! thumb

Curtis. I have been catching more Redear by far. Plenty of Trophy size. Bluegill are a distant second! hooked

Thanks Chuck. For me as for sunfish it has also been Redear with Bluegill coming in second. Still have not caught many Rios this year.

I think the Rio's are going to make a strong comeback on some of the water bodies I have been fishing. thumb
