I always love the pro staff reports. đ To answer your question, yes there is a difference. If you want a better ride go with a bigger boat. I donât care what brand we are talking about.

The more I read boat threads on here the more apparent it becomes that a bunch of yâall donât know how to drive or set up a bass boat.
Iâve owned a 15â3, 18â, 20â, and 21â boat.. no matter the year model, brand, or anything else ... size matters. Having said that there is no substitute for knowing how to drive a boat in big water.

I have driven Skeeters for the last 25 years or so still have one. Of course the longer the boat is the better the ride can be and there is some water (Ray Roberts , Texoma, Toledo Bend, Sam Rayburn) that no matter what boat you are in it is going to be rough. There are just some times you don't need to be on the lake. LOL. Now if you are asking about 2' or less swells then either the ZX 200 or the ZX 225 will be a great boat for you. While the 200 will be a bit cheaper to operate the space in the 225 will benefit you greatly as you decide to upgrade the boat (and you will LOL) with new accessories and such. I would not hesitate to go with the 225 were I in your spot especially if you could get one in your price range. I started with an SS90 back in the early 1990's and now have been very happy with the 2015 FX20 that I have but I do miss the storage of the ZX250 I had before this FX. Good Luck and I hope you enjoy your time in your new boat whichever you choose.

I havenât been in a far/zxr but have heard they do ride good. ZX series to me has to be about the worsts riding bass boat on the market. Depends on who is driving. If you get beat up.in a 20-21' boat these days you should blame the driver. So true and I will put the ride and dryness of a ZX250 up against any boat on the market today. Either he cant drive in big water or has never even rode in one. My advise on the ZX200 or ZX225 always buy the biggest boat that fits your budget.

I have never understood these âdry rideâ comments. If the wind is blowing and when doesnât it??? The wind blows the displaced water spray back at you, no matter what bass (& many bay) boat youâre in. Is there a boat made in the world that lets water come back into the boat, when itâs calm?

I currently have a 2018 ZX225. While I haven't been in the 200 I can say that the 225 is extremely comfortable even in rough conditions.
