Right around 2000, Took my son to Key West. We had a day booked for flats fishing. Left before daylight, the boat was insane fast, The captain wanted
to fish a flat that had been hot, but other boats had been beating him to the spot. It was about a 45 minute run at WOT.
We got there first , I had one blow up from a tarpon, then nothing but a few small sharks and barracuda. Very disappointing. Running that fast in a boat that you can reach out and touch the water is just crazy,

To me it is more scary than fun,
