I can’t imagine two threads that would result in more bs than this one and the street legal car thread. I don’t know about that. Just read half of the claims on all of these threads. This place is chock full of the biggest badarses on the planet. They dominate money, women, finance, neighbors, fish, HOAs, and they are all damned near omnipotent. (Or impotent. Not sure)

I can’t imagine two threads that would result in more bs than this one and the street legal car thread. Seems fairly believable. I didn’t see any ranger owners claiming to have hit 60.

75-80 in my buddy's TR21 with a 250 Opti-Max. Normally not that scary,except he liked this speed through the trees up into Indian Creek on Ray Roberts. I had to tuck my arms into the boat to not get them sheared off by the trees. Whoooeeeee!!!

72 in my Champion. 128 as a passenger in a Youngblood Hull, 454, twin turbo, with NOS. He asked if I wanted to ride on a shakedown run before the Drag Boat Races in Waco. First and last time I've wore a life vest with a parachute on the back.

37 or 38mph. We argued about it. Fishing buddy said it was only 37, but from my seat at the helm I could clearly see it was 38. He was either mistaken or a bald-faced liar. Either way, I never took him fishing again.

Drew a guy in a draw tourney on Cedar Creek back in the early 80's that had a plain old Skeeter Starfire with what looked to be a 150 Merc on the back. My first clue should have been when he handed me a motorcycle helmet and said to make sure it's strapped on good and to tie everything down. Don't know how fast we were going but we were passing boats that left 3 or 4 flights ahead of us. Ran into him some months later and he had a different boat. When I asked, he said he got many complaints about others in the tourneys he fished that he must be overpowered. Turns out he had a worked over 225 under that cowling and either had to quit fishing tournaments or get another boat. He said that Skeeter was clocked at 94. Back in 1988-1990 one of our customers had a Skeeter Starfire 175 that had a 235 Evinrude on the back with a smaller number on the cowl for whatever the boat was rated. I don't remember how fast he said it was but it would get from Broaddus to wherever on Rayburn pretty fast.
