As quick as they need to load and unload I would have opted for a ramp rather than a lift.

That's cool! When the youngest was in marching band, the school didn't have the deepest pockets so they rented UHAUL equipment.
This would have been next level for them if we could've rolled into the competitions like this.

Just looking at that beautiful truck makes my back hurt. As an ex-band parent, we usually loaded and unloaded the truck as the kids were getting into and out of their uniforms or getting fed. At summer band camp, we would use the lift to get a chest type deep freeze full of food loaded as the last item. Then it was off to Beavers Bend State park, Group Camp #2 with 280 band kids.
