Crappie are doing what they do in the summer, timber and minnows at least 20ft. deep for me. Had to hunt them a little but a pretty good haul for 4 hours mid day. Big one was pushing 15” and the 5 biggest all came from that one tree one right after the other.

Nice job! I haven't been out since May and have never fished when this hot so I would assume that they are deep of course. Thought about bridge pylons and timber and brush piles. Most of the damn ramps are still closed and now they closed the Trinity river branch.

Good work! I learned to crappie fish on Ray Bob when I was young. I need to get back out there sometime soon!
