Lol… being from broken bow Oklahoma. I understand the frustrating part of a lake being popular. At least it’s bass fisherman and not wake boarding boats. The Texans have taken over the county. Yeah, but the Californians and East Coast have taken over Texas (and we have our fair share from OK). You get them out of here, and it should help Texans migrating.

I cant believe the best amateur tournament trail in the United States is going to the best lake in the United States for their championship and people are complaining. I thought the same thing. LOL

Question. Does O.H.Ivie have physical "safe water beacons" which are shown on a Navionics map? Some seem to mark boatlanes, some seem to outline or navigate points, etc.

Are the pre-fishing rules for the championship the same, off-limits for the 5 days prior?

No safe water beacons. Main lake Dam area pretty much open water. River area you have to worry about.

Are the pre-fishing rules for the championship the same, off-limits for the 5 days prior? No... That's why they are talking about 3 days of practice + 2 days of competition. The rule in the past has been that it is off limits for a month prior to official practice. Duh, it's right there in the flyer. Off-limits from 9/20-10/5. So, let's all go sore-lip the fish during the off limits!

Rooms could be fun to find. Permian bass club and State tournament the same weekend, lot of the rooms were already booked in Elm creek and sportsman’s before the announcement. Champs booked Concho for their all their rooms in March, they did a good job keeping it under wraps.

We've never been there but looking forward to it. We found a place to stay outside of Coleman. About a 45 min trek to the ramp. Alot of boats but alot.of flooded cover...even out a little deeper. Should be fun!
