I'm looking at buying a Jeep 4 door.

Has anyone pulled a 21' bass boat with it? I fish mostly lakes within 100 miles

Look at the Jeep Gladiator thread in the Bass section. Lol. Plenty of opinions there. Mine? I tried it with a 17’ boat and it destroyed the engine three times in less than 50k miles.

What is the weight of the boat? Take it to a set of public scales & get an accurate reading, not guess work. I pulled a rig for 8-10 years ( 16ft with 70hp) from Texarkana to Millwood lake (+/-80 miles round trip) with an 1986 CJ 6 with a 258 inline 6 cylinder and an auto tranny. Never had a minutes problem. What is the towing weight of your jeep?

Our spare ride is my wife's 2020 4 door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with the 3L Eco Diesel. It has plenty of engine to pull my Champion 188 DCX, but the springs on the rear end are very soft. It squats 2-1/2" in the back and the front end lifts 1-1/2". I talked with the dealership and they said the rear springs would need to be changed out. Granted it is single axle trailer, a dual axle might be way different. I would take your boat with you and hook it up to the Jeep and take measurements.
