In your opinion, has the metroplex become more violent or is it just being reported more?

I know that Dallas has always been very violent in certain areas, it just never got on the news too often. Not sure about the west side.

You want to see violence go to Houston. They are at stacking bodies daily. Good thing is it’s mostly thug on thug crime so it’s not really hurting anyone. Some guy shot 3 yesterday for looking at him wrong.

I was robbed and shot on January 31st, 1980.
In Dallas-
So that’s all I got, there was violence then.

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

Seems like there is an increase in S.A. as well but that could be related to fighting over turf.
It's always been bad, but getting worse!
Just the other morning about 5 a.m. there were several cops investigation a homicide not far from my neighborhood, and someone opened fire on the cops pinning them down as bullets flew over their heads. They never found the perp!

Just one more cast!

Been following a recent news story about the number of random car shootings on the freeways around Houston, makes me thankful that I don't need to take the tollway down into the energy corridor everyday.

It is bad here in Houston. I really wish I could figure out how to make a decent living in the country.
I was at one of my properties that I service about 2 months ago and saw a guy get shot in a parking lot across the street.
They followed the guy into the parking lot and as he opened his car door they unloaded about 4 or 5 shots into him.
I would figure the murder rate in Houston isn't to far behind Chicago. But Houston is a dem/lib run city and it's really starting to show

Always look at the common denominator and most times you find your answer.

Not sure from a statistical standpoint but it appears from the reporting like it is.

I've sure noticed it. I've even seen it in the wildlife, the roadrunners have gone off the charts.

If you use national news as a gauge, Houston make the news quite often. I’m sure DFW is bad too, but bet Houston has both Dallas Nd SA beat.

What surprising is how safe some the burbs are outside of Houston. Friendswood, League City, Webster has really low crime. I’m sure others too.

Thanks, Billy

Texas' population has grown at least 15.9% since 2010, so I imagine crime will go up, too.
