How has Lavon bite been doing with all the rain? Are they still up shallow or are they transitioning back to deeper water? Might take out my yak this weekend and am curious if they are still up shallow or not.

I will start by saying that I haven't personally fished Lavon recently, but I know some people that do. I've been told that the LMB are still relating to rock and structure. Like normal summer seasons in Texas, they are most likely going to be shallower in the mornings and evenings than middle of the day. I'm sure they go deep. If you can find the shad schools, I'm sure you'll find a few bass under them as well.

Not sure about the fish but I was going to go last weekend but most ramps are closed from high water.

Lake is only 2.5 feet high now and dropping quickly. COE out there takes their sweet time about opening anything

Best fish have still been up in the brush...water is finally coming down which will help the bite....If you are into fishing deeper stuff....they've been grouped up around 25ft ish....bite windows have been short....almost done by 0800 in the morning and they start eating after about 6pm.....water temps have been 90-92
