Ahhh, yes. That’s why these are “just” west Texas lakes (just barely west of center)

Weatherford is a crappie lake, there are 5 bass in the whole lake. I live 10 minutes from it and gave up long ago on that mud hole

I either don’t understand the watershed or the water management (or both) out far West.

A. Henry is over 100% full, but just 70 miles away, JB is just 23% full (and that’s considering it was just 11% full one month ago)

The Colorado watershed out west hasn't had much rain. The Brazos watershed (AHenry) is just north and east of it. Could be all the frackers stole the water.

A. Henry has nothing above it to capture water and its watershed area goes all the way to New Mexico. JB Thomas has a very small watershed. Same reason EV Spence never fills up. If you had the time to explore A. Henry, I would go. Post is very close to find overnight lodging.
