It appears that my lake, Lake Mud Hole, has received several years of stocking. But they (TPWD) need to actually put some useable docks at the ramps, ridiculous that they can’t take care of their parks.

I have always felt if they spread the love around certain lakes wouldn't get beat to death and that would help those lake also. The obsession with lake fork is disgusting.
agree

Nope. The last thing TPWD said about my home lake was that it was infested with zebra mussels. That was 7+ years ago and I am still waiting to see one.

Hopefully the mud will settle quickly and guys can spread back out again. One of the guides posted that people were yelling at each other last weekend because they were all so packed together in the same area.

I wish they would stock more bait fish in some lakes especially SAL lakes, like Marine Creek. Their own shocking reports talk about the lack of bait fish and stunted growth of the bass, but it somehow gets SAL fry? It’s like Marine Creek is the control lake for the SAL program. https://tpwd.texas.gov/publications/pwdpubs/lake_survey/pwd_rp_t3200_1439/Prey species: Threadfin Shad were present in the reservoir. Electrofishing catch of Gizzard Shad was low, and few Gizzard Shad were available as prey to most sport fish. Electrofishing catch of Bluegill was high, but few Bluegill were over 6-inches long. Black basses: Largemouth Bass were abundant and in good condition. Few legal-size fish were available to anglers. Spotted bass are present in the reservoir and have good body condition.

They only patrol it to check bass boats. They don’t stock it, inspect pleasure boats, nor generally give a minor [censored] about the health of the lake. It’s just the local GWs shake down spot. He won’t even get outta his truck to do it. He just sits at the boat ramp.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

I’m not a biologist, but in my pea sized brain, I’d think that stocking more baitfish would lead to the bass naturally having better spawns and growth. I don’t understand why the state hasn’t taken on a better stance with baitfish stocking.
