Like someone said earlier, go with a RecTeq and leave out all the money you will waste on all the others. We had. Traeger and a Green Mountain Grill and basically gave them away. We bought a RecTeg Bull, 700 last summer and just added the 380 Bullseye 380 about a month ago. Love them both. Quality is much better, all stainless steel, much more consistent and even temps. They have several FB forums on FB that can show you just how proud everyone is to own one, lots of tips and recipes. great customer service if you need it.

Some funny a$$ replies on this thread. I’m a rec Tec guy only because I don’t have the time to mess with fire control all day. Stick burner meat is definitely more smokey, but so far, I can’t complain about my easy bake oven.

I’ve had the Pit Boss 820 for 3-4 years now. The auger motor burned up last year. I replaced it as well as the controller, auger, fan, etc. Temps are much steadier with the new controller. I should have bought a pellet grill 10 years ago. If I were to go buy a new one right now, I would likely get a Pitts & Spitts or a Yoder. I’m fairly “local” to Pitts & Spitts so that’s probably the one I would go for.
