A friend of ours that was in the rv business told us NOT to buy new because the new one's are carp. He said to look around and find a good used one. 2cents

Looking at 2008-2019. I really don't want to spend $40K+ on an RV, more like $20-$25K.

Just me and wife. I do have a shop on the property to get away for a while when needed. Lol

Excellent, you caught my drift. You should be fine then.
grin cheers

Agree with Bob - they're not a great long term solution unless you have space.

30-35 feet is good space. Yes on the cover - put a lean-to on your shop so you can store it there and have it plugged in easily.

The biggest issue could be sewer - you'll either have to take it to the dump frequently or use one of those mobile tanks and take it. I'd consider going ahead and installing your home septic and plumbing a sink/toilet in your shop so you don't have to empty the RV all the time.

Definitely cover it - nothing tears up an RV like water, heat, and UV light.

I would live in a nice apartment before i would drop 50 on a trailer to live in for a couple years. They are great for short stays, i can't imagine in being in one for a long amount of time, if you have other options.
