maybe hire a guide for a great learning curve reduction? benny dabney used to post alot and guide there I believe.
A good guide who is willing to share info abt a lake can save you 10 years of grief. its money well spent.
Ive never fished grapevine, but if mr dabney was able to successfully guide on it, it should have a decent crappie population in it. guides spend thousands of hours on lakes and learn things most never learn.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Haven't seen or heard much from Benny lately. Wonder how he is doing and if he is still guiding.

If y’all want an update, they’re biting. I took my son out this evening. We caught a bunch. Problem is I couldn’t find those big booty crappie. But, it’s that time of year. They’re about to start biting all summer. I hope this rain doesn’t flood the place.
