It’s fishing super tough right now. Overall this year has been a little more difficult fishing wise, but about the second week in April it got way worse. IMO, lowest number of bass per acre in the state.. so your not going to load the boat but the bites you get will likely be good ones. Gates being open and dropping lake levels don’t make it any easier!

It’s kicked my arse for while now, so much so I have started fishing Lewisville and Texoma more.

Trust me, if I had any good advice I’d give it to you.

I believe you generally know what you are doing on that lake. 10 is an average day on alot of lakes on ray bob 10 keepers is hammering them.......

Turn pro and your fishing should dramatically get better. Tip-use your electronics little more than you usually do will help.

Must suck to fish a lake where 10 keepers is a good day. However, only seeing 2 other boats might be a good trade off! cheers

When they’re letting water out it really gets tough. Even the crappie have been slow.

Exactly

Ray Bob has been slow for me this year as it has for many...I'm not an expert on this lake...but I pride myself in being able to get at least one fish each trip. So far, I haven't disappointed myself. AHHAHAHAHAHHA

Worst tournament results this year since the slot was lifted. I think the freeze made the fish do completly different things then they have done in the past. One crazy thing being our biggest waive of fish moving up actually happened earlier than it should by a long shot. Makes no sense. A lot of locals scratching their heads. I think our fish per acre is the lowest in DFW and I sure wish TPWD would start stocking it again.

This way two Saturdays ago as well...Greatness!!! Now we got rid of some of the pressure, get to stocking us back up! In the mean time we need to invite ALL gar shooters to come reduce the competition for food! The gar are dang thick!

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Organize a "sportsmans group" and fundraise to pay for stockings. That's what the hybrid guys and gals do

After these last go arounds of major tournaments, I bet the DNR looks a tad longer at stocking Ray Bob.
