Lmao “cash” believe it when I see it Most every vehicle dealer will have better deals if you finance through their manufacturer. You can get the good deals, finance through them, then in 3 months you can pay it off or get your Credit Union to refinance it for way less.

[/quote] I experienced that when buying my new truck in 2019. Salesman quoted me this great price online, but when I arrived to complete the transaction, he told me the good deal was based on financing offers and other incentives. I asked if he would work with me on a cash deal and he said yes, but can't negotiate as well without us getting our kickback $$.

Also shop around, I had to drive 7 hours to get mine when I had a dealer 7 miles from my house but to save $4,200 I drove. So not every dealer will be the same. I even took my invoice to the local dealer and said if you get within a $1000 I’ll buy from you but they flat out wouldn’t do it.

Express boats lost their attention to detail and construction .
I would agree with you , but then we would both be WRONG !!!!!

I have had a Ranger RT178 for 3 years with Yamaha motor and have loved it. Prior to that I had two 17 foot Trackers. The Trackers were good boats...no complaints, but the fit & finish on the Ranger is better. Also, the ride in rough water is way better than the Trackers I had. If you fish a lot, the Ranger is superior. If you are the occasional fisherman, the Tracker will be just fine. I have a new Ranger RT178 on order that is due end of this month. Ordered it last December. Had to go with a Mercury, because they couldn't get Yamaha. Would have looked at Vexus or Xpress, but no dealers close, and that is important to me. Main reason for getting a new boat at this time was the exceptional trade in value of the current RT178. Hope this helps...

just curious guys what about Express boats? Express are awesome but the same size boat with a smaller engine was considerably more than what I'm paying for my Crestliner, on top of they outfit theirs with Yamaha and the dealer told me it would be December at the earliest on one.

Back to the OP’s original question: Tracker vs Ranger(for the same price). No brainer! IF both had the identical same hulls the Ranger has a nicer finish(IMHO). Tracker always had a “plasticy” feel to me. Kinda a cheaper all plastic finish out. And as said above^^^^ I would believe(no proof) the Ranger would retain a better resale(name recognition). Either way, good luck!
