How important is it to have your unit on a separate battery? If you put it on your trolling motor battery will in cause an issue.

Prolly need more detail from you. Battery set up, types of batteries for tm , how often used and for how long between charges. The livescope anglers I fish with , all have a designated lithium battery for the livescope. 20 to 30 ah preferred.

Mine is on my Starting Battery not on my trolling motor, installed it last summer and have never had an issue. Starting Battery is a Group 31 Everstart from Wal Mart Just run at least 10 gage wires up from the battery with a fuse and a switch.

You're asking for interference problems anytime you connect any fish finder to your trollmotor batteries.... I've been running my electronics on a separate battery since the beginning of side imaging.....

Just my opinion and I've fished with several guides who run the same set up. I have around 50 trips under my belt with the livescope and have never had an issue, to me it's not worth the hassle of a 4th battery.

There are several that run their units off their starting battery which will work..... Hooking to your trollmotor batteries is nothing but a problem......

If you fish more than 5-6 hours and are running multiple 12 inch screens and Livescope even with a 31agm battery you will have an issue and run low on power. I will be running mine on a dedicated 12 volt lithium battery.

How many hours of run time are you getting with that 12ah battery? I am going to run the 18ah with mine but I have the 10 inch unit which pulls a little more power.

i have three graphs and LiveScope all on one GyLL lithium 100 Ah 12V battery, and have LOTS of extra power to spare. But it is very important to have your LiveScope on battery that will continuously provide sufficient power.

Five hours is the longest I've fished using my livescope and I haven't had any issues at all. Image remains sharp. So far, so good.

Parallel 2 batteries at the rear of boat as that includes the starting battery and run all your graphs , livescope etc to them. Never ever bounce anything to your trolling motor batteries including a radio. You tube paralleling batteries in a boat itโs the way to go.
Ps have a shut off switch in the rear. JS

I run three garmins and livescope on my cranking battery and NEVER had an issue. I run my motor enough to charge in between spots.
NEVER hook the electronics to your trolling motor battery. garmin tech support won't give you the time of day if you don't have it installed properly.
