What baits get down to the 12' range or more on an average cast? I've got a 110+1 and a kvd deep and those seem to cover the 8-10' range pretty good but an extra foot or two would really help. How much does line size effect the diving depth? I normally have 12 or 15lb flouro but I could go 10 if it would get the extra depth. Just looking for recommendations before I drop some money on baits that dont do what they advertise. Thanks

A Megabass Vision 110+2 will get down to 12' on 12lb fluoro. That was my first thought Mark but the reviews on tackle warehouse all say it doeant go any deeper than the +1. I may just get one and try it out

I may just get one and try it out I throw the +1 and the +2 alot on a clear lake in the ozarks. I throw mine on 8 pound test Pline CXX and I promise you without a shadow of a doubt that the +2 goes alot deeper than the +1. I can see them and I can tell. That being said I think the +1 is easier to fish and has more action but there is a time and place for both of them.

i dont fish jerkbaits much, but have tried to watch videos to learn about the technique....i remember the tacticalbassin guys mentioning light line, AND cranking it down to start your retrieve. When I fish the 110+ I usually give a wide rip while reeling up to take out the initial slack (in hopes of getting it down), and then start the jerkbait type retrieve. Seems to help it get down cuz ive ticked things I was expecting to when Ive done that....now I just need a giant smallie on one!!!

The length of your cast also plays in. Cast that joker as far as you can so the lure has time to get down to its max depth.
